Two key amenities are progressing on schedule at The Heritage and Wicker Point Golf Club which promise to improve the quality of lake life in Russell Lands’ newest lakefront community.

The first key amenity is The Benjamin Lake Club. We are excited to see the steel structure of the clubhouse rising from the ground. Renderings are turning into reality as the steel I-beams are joined together. Adjacent to the clubhouse, the large, two-swimming-pool complex is taking shape. We can begin to visualize taking a dip at this gorgeous complex with stunning lake views. Roads are forming around the tennis and pickleball complex, and other than coating the playing surfaces, the pickleball courts are nearly complete.

Scheduled to open June 2025, The Benjamin will provide gathering spaces and recreational opportunities for property owners in The Heritage. The main level of this two-story clubhouse will provide large gathering spaces suitable for receptions, community events, and more. With its owners’ bar, adjacent meeting room, and expansive lake views, this will be a much-appreciated space. The lower level offers a large fitness room, aerobics room, treatment rooms, and locker rooms.

The Benjamin will provide good reasons to get outdoors. Adjacent, as mentioned above, are the two pools that create a resort pool complex, a snack bar, and a beautifully landscaped trail system which leads to a lovely amphitheater, lakeside beach, and community dock system. Near the clubhouse is the tennis and pickleball facility (with eight courts of each), pro shop, event lawns, and parking areas.

The new amenity related to Wicker Point Golf Club, which is located in the heart of The Heritage, is the collection golf cottages. The first two cottages will be ready for use in July and will be available for guests of Wicker Point Golf Club members. Eventually, there will be seven buildings with a mixture of 2-room and 4-room structures (24 total rooms). The concept for the 4-room units is for use as either a single 4-star hotel-style room with adjacent living spaces or as a complete building in the case of a family visit or a “friends trip.” The first of these cottages will be available for use this summer.
