Russell Marine Hwy 280 Showroom to Open Mid-June

Major progress is being made at the Russell Marine Boating and Outdoors facility located on HWY 280. Despite a few setbacks due to COVID-19 and weather issues, the contractors and staff have been working endless hours and are making noticeable progress. The showroom, including over 70,000 square feet of retail space and new and pre-owned boats, is scheduled to open to the public mid-June.

The exterior of the building is near completion, and the interior is beginning to take shape with all new fixtures to display apparel, sunglasses, shoes, vests, ropes, tubes, sun care and more. With well-defined zones, the showroom will be easy for customers to navigate. The Lake Martin wall features Lake Martin apparel, maps, coasters, and other lake-themed merchandise. An entire wall has been devoted to Billabong and will feature all-new products including men’s and women’s shorts, tops, hoodies, caps, and swimsuits. The Costa sunglass selection is the largest in the area, as is the impressive selection of Yeti coolers, cups and tumblers. Performance gear from Huk and Hook and Tackle has been added to the apparel line to offer more variety. An area has also been dedicated to stand-up paddleboards from Connelly and Pulse, Whiteknuckle Kayaks, wakeboards and surfboards from Byerly and Hyperlite, and skis from HO Sports and Connelly.

The showroom also features new boat models from Godfrey Pontoon Boats, Nautique, Supreme, Scarab, Bryant Boats, Key West and the new fishing boat lineup from Bass Cat and SeaArk. Personal watercraft from Sea-Doo will be displayed along with Sea-Doo accessories including vests, apparel, sound systems, coolers and other add-ons. An all-new lineup of Can-Am off-road vehicles by BRP will be displayed outside as well as inside along with accessories and apparel.

The facility will also have the largest inventory of pre-owned boats under one roof in Alabama. This will allow customers to navigate and compare all pre-owned inventory with ease. Allan Cutts, manager of the new facility, is “excited to open to the community” and believes people are going to be really impressed once the project is complete.
