Phase One Release of Waterfront Homesites in The Heritage on Lake Martin

Russell Lands had a wonderful response to its recent release of waterfront property in The Heritage, its newest master-planned community on renowned Lake Martin. The first two weeks of sales netted 44 contracts for waterfront property in the first phase of this exciting new development. 

Russell Lands has been building infrastructure for this community, consisting of over 1,500 forested acres and over 12 miles of shoreline, for over a year. Initial offers for the first phase of waterfront homesites were received on July 18, 2022. Each of the first 52 homesites released average over an acre of land and 250’ of waterfront on one of the South’s largest and cleanest lakes.

The Heritage has, as its centerpiece, a Coore & Crenshaw-designed golf course. The Russell Lands team is very excited to have Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw working to create a waterfront golf course in this beautiful setting. This under-construction private course, Wicker Point Golf Club, is scheduled to open in late summer of 2023. Early purchasers may be able to finish construction in time to tee off.

Russell Lands has extensive property holdings, well over 20,000 acres, on Lake Martin and is known for patient, responsible development of waterfront property. Russell Lands has also created from its land holdings the Russell Forest, several thousand acres of forest with over 100 miles of trails that connect it to multiple communities.
