Out like a lamb
Published: 03.01.2017
Old Man Winter took it easy on us this year, but that’s no reason not to celebrate the coming of SPRING! This month, Naturalist Marianne Hudson shares her excitement about the end of winter as she brings cuddly little lambs to the Naturalist Cabin and leads a nature tour through our reawakening forest.

The Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads
Saturday, March 18, 10am–2pm
Saturday, March 25, 10am–2pm
Due to popular demand, not only will spring be returning to Russell Forest, but so will precious young LAMBS. These little sheep nubbins will bring their frolicsome ways to the Naturalist’s Cabin to help us officially say goodbye to winter. March stereotypically goes “out like a lamb,” and we will give nod to the upcoming gentle weather by spending time with these huggable, pet-able lambs. In addition to the hands-on lamb time, our Naturalist will teach visitors about the importance of these domestic creatures to human warmth and comfort. Experience is appropriate for all ages. Bring your camera! No charge – everyone is welcome!
