One Last Owl Presentation February 26
Published: 02.17.2022
We have one more chance to learn about owls and why they and others are having winter babies in the forest.
Wildlife Presentation
Saturday, February 26 – 7am-1pm
The Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads
All about owls! Owls beat the springtime rush and have their young during the winter months. Discover WHY this is a good idea for predatory birds and learn about the multiple species that call Russell Forest home. Every part of this bird is designed to meet its survival needs. A live owl will be present for display and examination to highlight the physical features which make it a masterful nighttime hunter. Presentation is hands-on and features lots to touch, hold, and study. Appropriate for all ages—stop by and learn! Come anytime between the hours listed. No charge—everyone is welcome!
*An owl will also accompany Naturalist Marianne at the start of Russell Forest Run events on February 26.
