It’s a fun filled weekend at the lake for Labor Day!

It’s that time, the swan song of summer. For some, it’s bittersweet, but, if you’ve been around Russell Lands On Lake Martin very long, you know that Labor Day Weekend is one big holiday celebration. With the biggest concert at The AMP all year and all the other fun summer activities, you’re sure to have a memorable time at the lake with your family and friends.

Wine Tasting

Friday, September 2 – 5-7pm
Catherine’s Market

Start your weekend off with a relaxing exploration of fine wines. Catherine’s Market is a great place to gather with friends, and that’s what wine is made for. The tasting is only $5, and if you buy one of the wines in the tasting, that $5 is applied to your purchase.

Friday on The Green

Music, fun, games, and more – Friday On The Green is a great way to relax with family and friends after a hard long week at work. Come out and enjoy a special encore appearance of The Bank Walkers while the kids romp around, the dog sits patiently at your feet and you share some great time with the fam and friends! Bring you chairs, cooler, the pup (on a leash, please) – whatever makes you happy!

Yoga on The Green

With the Stables as a backdrop, the Town Green is the perfect place to discover your inner being. Great for beginners and the experienced, just bring your mat and your water bottle. And it’s FREE!

Pancake Breakfast

The Community Garden Club members are up early cooking pancakes for all to enjoy this Saturday morning. Come by and feed the family and help out the garden club. Pancakes and syrup, coffee or juice and only $5 (cash please).

The Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads

This month, Naturalist Marianne Hudson brings us classes that teach about… well… classes! She’ll discuss how various Russell Forest residents are classified. Representatives from the bird, mammal, reptile, amphibian and insect group will be at the Naturalist Cabin to display how their similarities and differences place them in separate classes. Each variety of critter will be used to illustrate how various features are used to categorize and classify living things.

Labor Day Weekend Concert

Come join the party as we bring four — yep, four — great bands to the stage for the Labor Day Weekend Concert. Join us as we welcome Rexton Lee, The Bank Walkers, The Bama Gamblers and, headlining at The AMP for the first time ever, from Nashville, Tennessee, The Vegabonds!
