July is Jam-Packed with Live Music Events

The month of July is literally LOADED with awesome live music at Russell Crossroads, at The AMP, and all over the Lake Martin area. If you like live music, fireworks, snow cones, barbeque, and more, you’ll love what we have in store for you!

Start your weekend with some pre-Fourth fun this Friday as Sid Phelps joins us for Friday On The Green! And, don’t forget to buy your tickets for the concert and fireworks at The AMP! Then on the Fourth, claim your spot on the grassy lawn as Lake Martin’s favorite cover band, The Bank Walkers, kick things off at 6:30. At 8:00, American Idol champ, Taylor Hicks takes charge! He’ll be preforming his hits and some Bob Seger classics. If you have never witnessed the fireworks from The AMP, this year would be a great one to do so. Once you see them illuminating the sky with millions of colors right overhead, you’ll never want to watch them from anywhere else! Bring your chairs and cooler—food trucks will be on hand!

The very next night at Russell Crossroads, Friday On The Green features Jonathan Bloom on the Town Green Stage. Over the course of July other greats will join us “on the green.” Jilla Webb performs July 12th, and the Atlanta gang who call themselves shadowood will be here on the 19th.

The Black Jacket Symphony makes a return visit to The AMP on July 20 as they perform the entire Journey Escape album note for note and sound for sound—plus they’ll treat us to more Journey hits! Learn more >

Then the Lake Martin Songwriters Festival takes us to the end of the month, but only after bringing in over 30 songwriters, with major hits to their names, playing at nearly 20 venues all around the lake. This is BIG!

The Lake Martin Songwriters Festival runs July 24-28, but on the 26th, six individuals and a full band will be at Russell Crossroads as we host the Friday night session. The line-up for Crossroads is definitely ON the charts with Jenna LaMaster, Marty Brown, Trick Savage, Sam Banks, Charlie Argo, Bridgette Tatum, and Old Hickory! Over the years, you’ve had a chance to listen to some of their recorded music, but to hear their stories and music up close and personal on a local stage is a rare treat!

There is more to do this July in the Lake Martin area than most places offer in a year. Make plans to join us at Russell Crossroads, The AMP, and all over Lake Martin for some great music, breathtaking fireworks and more fun than you can imagine!
